Box Office

  The film made $1,635,117 million in UK and $5,488,332 million in USA so it earned a total box office of $7,123,449 million and the film won British Independent Film award and this movie was downloaded 25,452 times on torrent. Wild Rose received positive reviews from film critics. It has a 94% approval from 161 critic reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, with a weighted average of 7.78/10. Metacritic reports a score of 80/100, based on 32 critics, indicating generally favorable reviews. The leading actress, Jessie Buckley, herself earned a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role nomination for her performance.

Distribution

  The film, Wild Rose, had its world premiere at the 'Toronto International Film Festival' on 8 September 2018. Shortly after, NEON acquired the distribution rights to the film. It screened at the BFI London Film Festival on 15 October 2018 and at South by Southwest in March 2019. It had a restricted release so was only released in the United Kingdom on 12 April 2019, by Entertainment One and in the United States on 21 June 2019, by NEON. It was shown at major and independent cinemas in Glasgow: Cineworld, Odeon, Showcase, Vue, the Grosvenor and the Glasgow Film Theatre and was available on Digital HD from Amazon Video and iTunes on September 17, 2019.  Wild Rose was delivered in P3 for DCP cinema delivery and REC709 for broadcast and DVD. Distribution Companies

  The distribution companies involved for the distribution of the movie were; NEON: Neon is an American film production and distribution company, founded in 2017 by CEO Tom Quinn and Tim League, who also was the co-founder of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain. The company is best known for releasing films, such as 'Ingrid Goes West', 'I, Tonya', 'Three Identical Strangers', 'Parasite'. As of 2019, Tim League is no longer involved with daily operations for the company. During the 4th Annual Zurich Summit, Tom Quinn commented on Neon's intent to release titles that appeal to audiences who "skew under 45, that have no aversion to violence, no aversion to foreign language and to non-fiction. In September 2017, the company partnered with Blumhouse Productions, to manage BH Tilt. In 2019, a majority stake of NEON was sold to 30West, the media venture arm of The Friedken Group. Music

  Nicole Taylor, the screen writer for the film, also wrote several specific songs into the script, marking pivotal moments or indicating what music Rose-Lynn, the protagonist, would like. It wasn’t about Taylor’s personal taste in country music, but rather which artists would excite Rose-Lynn as a character. There’s an emphasis on ’90s female singers, Trisha Yearwood, Wynonna Judd, Lee Ann Womack and Bonnie Raitt all appear on the soundtrack, and Taylor was interested in songs that evoked an emotional catharsis for Rose-Lynn. Recent Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves has a cameo in the film (as well as a song, “High Times,” on the soundtrack) and Taylor personally reached out to both her and Raitt for their participation. The final musical number, “Glasgow (No Place Like Home)” was performed live by Buckley in real Glasgow music venue the Old Fruitmarket.
